Videocon School of Cricket – A Sourav Ganguly Initiative

If you want your son to be the next upcoming star in the Indian cricketing world then Videocon School of Cricket is the best place. The reason is that the group of Coaches and Support staffs are headed by none other than the “Engineer of Team India” Mr. Sourav Ganguly.

The Academy started its operations on 15th October 2005. It was inaugurated by the Ex-chief minister Mr. Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. The most important news is that the coaching staffs and the technical team have some very talented son’s of Bengal like Pranab Roy and Arun lal. The academy had 700 trainees and 20 coaches to start with. Ten of the coaches, all former Bengal players, have already been recruited. “Whenever I get time, I will be here to help the youngsters along with the other coaches,” Sourav promised. The trainees will be divided into three age groups

08-12 years
13-16 years
17-19 years

With provision for special training to those who are found to be exceptionally talented.

Videocon group was also very much happy to get linked with this academy. Venugopal N. Dhoot, chairman, Videocon Group, termed this academy as the pride of Bengal.

This academy is working with one motto in mind that is bringing out “more souravs” from Bengal. Hence, if you want to see your son in the Indian National team or you want him to play IPL; you need to make him excel in the field of cricket. So, nothing better than Dada’s Academy. Who knows that once Bengal will be proud for one more Sourav.
