Sourav Ganguly backs Zaheer Khan on Greg Chappell view

Sourav Ganguly – “I agree with Zaheer on Chappell, I am relieved truth has come out”

For the first Sourav Ganguly comes out about the Greg Chappell episode in a candid interview to espnstar! Sourav Ganguly endorsed what Zaheer Khan said few days back, as Greg Chappell being the worst phase of Indian Cricket! Sourav Ganguly goes on to say that hearing the likes of Zaheer Khan & others speak about the truth about that time makes him happy! Sourav Ganguly feels the monkey is off his back now, people will now realize the real truth, who brought the lows in Indian Cricket & stop criticizing him!
Sourav Ganguly also said a lot of the players were made to feel insecure & were never in the right frame of mind to play cricket. He also believes the team on 2007 was a very strong team, but none of the players were thinking or feeling right which showed in the performances, India didn’t even qualify from the group stages. The same bunch of players in 2003 & 2011 proved there was a lot more happening in the dressing room in 2007 other than cricket! This was the reason all the Indian players suffered & probably he was the biggest sufferer! It was very difficult for him to make a comeback also, as he was not being judged on cricketing merits! He goes on to say that he even felt unwanted in the dressing room! He feels the way he was removed as captain was completely unfair. Every Indian player was targeted; even Sachin Tendulkar was not left alone. Sourav Ganguly says he is very happy today that the truth has come out to the world.
He also goes on to say, he completely agrees with Simon Katich & also warns the Australian cricket board that they should be ready to go through the same nonsense.
